God Makes a Promise to David

17:1 When David had settled into his palace, ¹  he ²  said to Nathan the prophet, “Look, I am living in a palace ³  made from cedar, while the ark of the Lord’s covenant is under a tent.” ⁴ 

1 Tawarikh 22:10

22:10 He will build a temple to honor me; ⁵  he will become my son, and I will become his father. I will grant to his dynasty permanent rule over Israel.’ ⁶
